Rooted in the History of Organized Real Estate
The history of AMAS is closely connected to the growth of organized real estate in Atlanta. Over more than a century, the organizations from which today’s management model developed have expanded their work in advocacy, education, professional standards, commercial real estate, member service, and community leadership.
That history gives AMAS more than institutional knowledge. It provides a deep understanding of how REALTOR® associations evolve, how volunteer leadership works, and how strong professional management helps an organization respond to changing member and industry needs.

1910The Atlanta Real Estate Board, now the Atlanta REALTORS® Association, was founded in 1910. Over the following century, the Association became an influential voice in civic affairs, zoning, real estate license law, professional education, and the growth of the REALTOR® organization in Georgia.

1959
A Commitment to Education
The Georgia Institute of Real Estate began educating real estate professionals in 1959. The Atlanta Board of REALTORS® acquired the school in 1980, expanding its role in licensing, continuing education, and professional development. It operates today as the Atlanta REALTORS® School of Real Estate. -
1993
A New Association Management Model
Following the restructuring of the Atlanta Board of REALTORS® into separate residential and commercial associations, leadership established Asset Management & Association Services, Inc. (AMAS) to provide shared staffing, facilities, systems, and operational support.
The newly formed Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS® and the Atlanta Board retained their own leadership and priorities while benefiting from a coordinated professional management team. This model became the foundation for AMAS’s continued growth.

1999
Growing Beyond the Founding Organizations
By the end of the decade, AMAS was providing administrative and operational services to five additional real estate organizations. Among these early relationships were the Bartow Area Board of REALTORS®, now known as the Northwest Metro Association of REALTORS®, and the Georgia Chapter of SIOR®.
This early expansion demonstrated that the multi-association management model could successfully support a broader range of organizations across Georgia.

Today
Specialized Support for Stronger Organizations
AMAS now provides a coordinated team of association professionals supporting REALTOR® associations, foundations, educational organizations, chapters, and related entities.
What began as a shared-management model for two Atlanta associations has evolved into a broad system of specialized support tailored to each organization’s mission and priorities.
Connected Across the REALTOR® Organization
Effective REALTOR® association management requires more than operational expertise. It requires an understanding of how local associations, state and national organizations, volunteer leaders, and industry professionals work together. AMAS brings that connected perspective to every organization we serve.
Local Association Knowledge
AMAS professionals understand the daily work of local REALTOR® associations, including governance, membership, education, professional standards, advocacy, communications, events, and board and committee support.
State and National Connection
Our team works within the policies, resources, and professional structures connecting local associations with Georgia REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. These relationships help client leadership remain informed as industry requirements and priorities evolve.
A Network of Industry Expertise
AMAS maintains relationships with association executives and specialists in law, finance, education, advocacy, technology, communications, and organizational management, expanding the knowledge and resources available to every client.
An Investment in Our Team Is an Investment in Yours
AMAS invests in the continued development of our professionals through industry conferences, designations, certifications, webinars, peer networks, and ongoing education. Several AMAS professionals have earned the REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE) designation, with additional team members working toward future certification. This commitment keeps our team informed, adaptable, and prepared to bring current practices, new ideas, and valuable perspective to the organizations we serve.
By developing expertise across disciplines and encouraging collaboration among departments, AMAS gives each client access to more than one association executive. They gain the combined knowledge and support of an entire professional team.
Strengthen Your Association with AMAS
Whether you need comprehensive association management or specialized support for your existing staff, AMAS provides the continuity, expertise, and professional resources needed to advance your mission.
